Rich Earth is owned and operated by Matthew Sears who boasts extensive global landscape gardening experience.

With and impressive 15+ years field experience, Matthew has transformed gardens in Australia, England, Ibiza and France. He has also been involved with design and builds for the world renowned Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) and Chelsea Flower Shows.

Born and raised in Sydney, Matthew began his apprenticeship in commercial landscaping, working on the gardens for new builds, estates and high-rise apartments.

When the travel bug bit, Matthew travelled from Sydney to London where he spent 10 years developing his passion for gardens. In London, Matthew collaborated with some of the top garden designers in the world. This level of interaction drove him to hone his skills and inherit impeccably high standards.

Now with a young family and business, Matthew has brought his international experience and knowledge back to Sydney to craft outside spaces his clients once only dared to imagine.
